Grand Concert of the String Quartet of the Verona Arena at the end of the first year of the Sincronìa Academy. ‘UMBRIAROMA 2016’ award to successful personalities
On the evening of June 13, on the panoramic terrace of the headquarters of the SINCRONIA School and the UNAR Association in Parioli, the Verona Arena Quartet will perform pieces from the most famous operas by Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Mozart, Bellini and Donizetti. To give voice to the most famous ‘arias’ will be the soprano Teresa Di Bari and the tenor Cataldo Caputo.
The Quartet, composed of Gunther Sanin and Francesco Quaranta – violins, Luca Pozza – viola, Sara Airoldi – cello, with the collaboration of Patrizia Quarta – piano, was born from the idea of transposing the atmosphere of the most beautiful amphitheater of the world, where for centuries opera music has enchanted and moved, and to reinterpret the art of nineteenth-century melodrama in an original message. Trained and perfected at some of the most prestigious international academies, these masters have been animating the artistic essence of the Verona Arena Orchestra for years.
This concert concludes the first year of the ‘SYNCHRONY Music Art and Beauty’ school, born from the idea of its artistic director, Barbara Agostinelli (violinist of the orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma) to offer young people courses of education and musical improvement of violin and composition, but also to create a pole of encounter, of ‘synchrony’ between the musical and non-musical arts, for the widest audience.
For this reason the Academy, in addition to choosing as teachers the best musicians and composers such as Francesco Manara, Carlo Maria Parazzoli, Ezio Bosso, Pavel Vernikov, has organized meetings open to all: from the ‘lesson’ on lutherie by Eric Blot to film music with Nello Salza (Ennio Morricone’s trumpet) and his quintet, from the inaugural performance of all the teachers of the Academy to the scholarship award ceremony at Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati with the performance of the young promises together with the Russian talent Dmitry Smirnov.
And also this last appointment of the academic year, on 13 June from 6 pm on the terrace of the headquarters in via Aldrovandi 16, is a celebration of Italian excellence: together with the concert of the Quartetto d’Archi di Verona, the 2016 UMBRIAROMA PRIZE will be awarded. ‘to successful personalities in various fields, from culture to entertainment to entrepreneurship. Umbrian or Roman friends of Umbria: from this recognition, already conferred to Barbara Agostinelli, the collaboration between the Umbrian Association and the Sincronìa School was born.
The evening will end with a buffet of culinary tastings.
